Getting started in photography can be pretty difficult. It can take a while until you get good enough to start taking great photographs, and there is
a good chance that you might get frustrated enough to quit before this even happens. The good news is that you can spped up the process.
Here are a few tips which professional photographers all wished they could have learned sooner.
For beginner photographers, the histogram is an element which they might not mess with initially. However, this is a mistake as the sooner you learn how to use it to your advantage, the better. It can make a difference in terms of quality in a variety of different types of photo, from landscapes to portraits.
1. Learn to use the Histogram
2. Buy a good Tripod
It is understandable that you might not be willing to spend a lot of money initially on equipment such as tripods or
photography backdrops since
you do not even know yet how long you will be doing this for. However, in the case of the tripod, it is not a good deal to buy a cheap
one. You might spend less money initially, but the results will suffer and you will eventually have to cave in and buy a better one,
so you might as well just do it from the start.
3. Don't be afaid to use Manual Mode
Most photographers when they are starting out just leave all the settings on automatic and hope that the camera does the rest of the work. The sooner you use your manual mode, the sooner you will learn how each setting truly works. You might take bad pictures initially, but you gain a valuable learning experience.
